Grandpa Brunson

Buz Brunson

February 21, 1926-January 30, 2010

He lived through many things. The Great Depression. Injuries sustained while fighting the Japanese in WWII. Marrying a beautiful, sweet woman. Watching his children and grandchildren grow and learn.

The love and loyalty he had for his family was unlike any I have ever seen. He was an amazing man, and as my sweet husband stated, only God could accomplish what the many trials and tribulations of life could not. While it is hard to lose such a wonderful person, it fills me with joy to know that the separation between him and his family is only temporary.

My husband's sweet grandfather passed away Saturday of natural causes. He will be sorely missed. I have never met a person who could have such a big impact on me in such a short amount of time. I knew him less than 2 years. He made me feel immediately like I was part of his family, and I loved him as if he were my grandfather. I am so grateful for this gospel, and especially for the sealing power of the temple. It makes the hurt his family has now much less bitter, as we know we will get to be with our loved ones again.

So, for now, goodbye Grandpa Buz. We'll definitely miss your stories. And especially your hilarious emails. :] I hope you are able to find and spend time with Baby - I'm sad he won't have you here.
